LYRICS

2 Dads

If parenthood was a road
Some begetters should not be licensed at all
If tactfulness was a song
Some warmongers should sing more in tune

If they’re a big tech firm’s CEO
Then it’s cool cause cause money’s raining on you
It they’re holding hands at the park
Then it’s the devil’s work

2 Dads are not the best thing a child can get
It can have two mothers as well
Harassing has become a full-time job
Maybe happiness should decide what’s good for all

Love is a chaotic science most of us fail to feel because
it’s not meant to be understood
If you struggle as much as I do to figure out the equation
Then you must know there are as many ways as individuals

Since many families break on their own, no need to mind their choices
and shatter their hard-earned dreams
Life always finds a way
Doesn’t mean there’s only one
Doesn’t mean we’re always right

2 Dads are not the best thing a child can get
It can have two mothers as well
Harassing has become a full-time job
Maybe happiness should decide what’s good for all

As much as you want
They don’t mean no harm to you
As much as they hope
Will you side with them my friends

2 Dads are not the best thing a child can get
It can have two mothers as well
Harassing has become a full-time job
Maybe happiness should decide what’s good for all

Chemin Noir

A cold night out in Prague
An empty bed full of regrets
Are all that’s left from you
And I crave a thicker shell

Humiliating the way they danced around
But if that means being close to you
Then frustration’s my best pal
His shadow still standing next to you

Two years are gone
Your friend just put me down
My tears will dry out
It wasn’t worth trying for so long

So tired to be an eternal coward
I wonder how it is to love and to be loved
Mister narrator will you conclude this tale?
Will the Beauty love the Beast at last?

Too many pages were scrapped, as I’m not used to write love songs
I got carried away, the hunter finally shot me down
And your memory will probably fade
And we’ll probably never meet again

Two years are gone
Your friend just put me down
My tears will dry out
It wasn’t worth trying for so long

I’ve seen this already
I’ll feel that once again
It’s déjà vu and it hurts
It’s déjà vu and it will sting again

Two years are gone
Your friend just put me down
My tears will dry out
Next time I won’t fall for love again

Sad Gurus

How can we change the world if we no longer try to inspire?
Sadness is a hell of a bestseller for those who fear future
Politicians are mere bad gurus. This song’s not really ‘bout them.
Musicians, not the brightest minds, why should we put a ban on happy lyrics?

I don’t know, that’s the way I was taught
Please respect my traditions
These guys must know what they moan about, judging by all the cameras all around them
And they don’t know, that’s the way I will teach. Please respect my disrespect.
If I can’t grasp, maybe I should learn before getting these big cameras all around me.

Sad gurus are just a bad dynamic
A quick hangover the world never remembers
These blue speakers always hold the best assets in communication
Why not make a propre use of them & help spread joy a bit

I was judge and jury during my entire youth
Now humbled & lucid, I plead guilty at my (very own) public trial
Sing my friends, laugh my friends

The last advocate of sorrow just fell in front of you, so pray, sleep, kiss, run now it’s all up to you

Snap it

It’s four in the afternoon
& everybody’s laying down (choeurs: down down down)
Late night’s harsh on our faces
But suddenly there’s him, he’s snapping

Out of pace that’s for sure
Loud, cheerful & simple
Out of space, that’s for sure
Grimness is gone & so is my mind

Snap It, when you’re about to give up on life
Snap It, when the birds are whistlin’
And if your fingers keep on slippin’
Give in to the beat & clap your hands
Just snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, it’s his magic trick.

When clouds are casting shadows
from yesterdays & you’re dealing blows
He’s sitting there snapping.

Nothing seems to animate him
Except that imperfect noise
What is it all about after all?

Out of pace that’s for sure
Loud, cheerful & simple
Out of space, that’s for sure
Grimness is gone & so is my mind

Snap It, when you’re about to give up on life
Snap It, when the birds are whistlin’
And if your fingers keep on slippin’
Give in to the beat & clap your hands
Just snap, snap, snap, snap, snap, it’s his magic trick.
